Subscription gifts

I adore subscription boxes…. a monthly treat that you can’t predict….it’s the Christmas pressie that keeps on giving.

You can get subscription boxes for just about any personality , age , gender , interests now, so I’m so very excited to share my absolute favourites that I think you’ll all love. These times are unusual for all of us , the other great aspect to subscription boxes is they are sent direct , so perfect for people you can’t see right now and also , they can usually be bought pretty last minute ,… so if you don’t get paid till closer to christmas you can subscribe , and just print a note or card to send to the recipient explaining their gift.

Subscriptions for kids

Tales by mail

A monthly box for children who love to read. With additional book themed paraphernalia theres enough to capture every imagination. I really love the book review cards that come with boxes , i think they’re a great way to learn what you child did or didn’t like about a book , and for them to recall what they’ve read and experienced. I also love that this company offer sibling boxes , so they can be a great gift option for siblings too.

Toucan box

We’ve had these on and off for a few years now. The box comes stuffed with different activities and mini kits with everything you need to create. They usually have a theme you can pick and are super child friendly.

Brave girl book club

This is one of my favorite finds of 2020 , The BGBK is a monthly book subscription thats always themed around brave girls and women. With strong and inspiring stories to go with gorgeous gifts , no girl could resist. Isabelle has been loving collecting the badges for her back pack and scoffing the vegan sweets.

LALA Box

A great fun activity box for 3 – 7 year olds. Perfect to keep little ones entertained and learning. Each box has multiple crafts , toys and kits to learn and play with . This months marble gravity experiment will be a huge hit with Marlowe.

For grown ups

Knack Box

A grown up alternative craft box. Now I like all crafts , from traditional sewing etc but Knack box is a bit different , collaborating with different indie makers to bring you a new craft and a new maker each month. This month I tried to Jesmonate box , and i’ve been wanting to buy some of these little trays for my new desk so it was perfect timing. The tutorials tell you everything you need to know so you can craft along with the maker and ask questions in real time. These would be great for young adults and grown ups alike that love to try something really new and unusual

Paper Gang.

The stationery lovers box. Each box is illustrated and created by a different artist , so they vary in content and design each moth . I personally love stationery and can never have too many cards , calendars , pens etc. They also make great gifts for students that will use a lot of stationery. Theres collectable pins that my kids love to pinch too , and the off items goes into my box of odd presents for those unexpected occasions a gift is needed.

Arena flowers

Possibly the best , most beautiful subscription I’ve ever had. Arena supply the most beautiful seasonal blooms in weekly , fortnightly or monthly subscriptions. They’re closed waste , donate to charities with every purchase, plant trees, pay fair wages …you name it. Whilst supplying the best flowers on the market.

Cosy Craft club

Cosy craft club is one of those feel good boxes that you know your going to want to keep doing long after your box is finished. This months is Christmas bed socks by I Knit Pretty. I have now also fallen in love with this brand and the amazing starter knitting kits. Next months box is and I can’t wait to see where these boxes go. They’d be perfect for the mama , nanny ,BFF etc in your life. Especially while we’re stuck at home more with more time to learn something new. Everyone is getting socks off me this year.

The Littles Book Shop

A monthly book box with a twist. Not only do you get a new book each month , which is just magic , theres treats too. This months theres tonies chocolate ( how did you know it’s my favorite) , hot chocolate & a scrumptious wax melt. For me reading is more than opening a book , its a magical experience to be really immersed in another time and place. This box gives you all that through your mail box each month. Perfect for confident readers and older children too .

Scents by mail

This company is a new to me this month , and even though I’m a HUGE HUGE candle and wax melt lover , I had never thought of a subscription like this. They offer 3 tiers and price ranges to suit all and it does not disappoint. My November box was just stuffed and my oh my it got me in the Christmas mood. My house smells like magic. Now for 5 candles and 2 wax melts, they are all different , they don’t all smell the same , look the same… you can tell such a lot of thought and effort has gone into these boxes. Especially when we can’t be with loved ones right now and we’re at home so much more this is such a truly wonderful gift for anyone. It would also be great for students and new home owners.

Oh Mumma

I’ve received oh mumma boxes a few times since Coast was born and they never disappoint. They always have full and travel sized products that are always high end. I think of these as beauty boxes for mummas. There’s something for them and for mumma… which i think eases the guilt. I always find it easy to spend money on my kids but not on me…so this is 2 birds and one stone. The nail polish in this box is a MUST HAVE colour for christmas so don’t miss out. Perfect for new and expectant mummas for christmas.

Skimming stones

Skimming stones is a beautiful sewing subscription that used their own beautiful fabrics. I adore how easy these projects are but how beautiful they end up. As a family renovating it’s lovely to be able to create small home pieces. I would recommend a sewing machine for these projects but they can be hand sewn if you have patience. Next months is a wash bag and eye mask so it would be perfect for making christmas gifts too. Perfect for new and confident sewers. Would also be lovely for older children with an interests.

Post Boxed

Post boxed isn’t quite a subscription box but it is a gift box service perfect for these times. From birthdays to get well soon theres a box for everyone for every occasion. We have two of the birthday boxes for the middle twos birthdays this month and they do not disappoint.
